Privacy Policy
Game Day Squares · Effective July 25, 2026
Game Day Squares is a private, invite-only app for organizing game-day squares boards with friends. This policy describes what information the app stores and how it is used. The app is built and run by Ink Legion LLC; questions go to painfulimage@gmail.com.
No gambling, no payments, no prize handling. Game Day Squares is for entertainment and social use only, to organize digital squares boards. The app does not collect, process, transfer, hold, manage, distribute, verify, or facilitate money, wagers, bets, prizes, payouts, or any real-money gaming. Any offline arrangement between users is solely between those users — it is not facilitated, controlled, verified, or endorsed by the app or by Ink Legion LLC.
Information we collect
- Account info: your email address, the display name you choose, and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — the basic identity (name/email and account identifier) that provider shares to sign you in. If you sign up with email and password, the password is used only to sign you in.
- Profile photo: optional. Only if you choose one through the system photo picker.
- Content you create: board names and settings, the squares you claim, group chat messages, and any images you attach in chat.
- Subscription status: if you subscribe to the Host Pass to create boards, your purchase is made through your app store (Apple or Google), and your subscription status and purchase history are processed by the app store and by RevenueCat, our subscription service provider, to unlock hosting features. Payment details stay with your app store — the app never sees them.
- Basic technical data: the Firebase services the app runs on (Google) generate routine service logs, such as IP address and request metadata, as part of operating and securing the service.
That's it. The app has no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs, and it does not access your contacts, location, or microphone. Photos for avatars and chat are picked by you through the system photo picker, and the camera is used only if you choose to take a new photo there.
How it's used
- To run the app: showing boards, square claims, drawn numbers, scores, and group chat to the members of each board, and keeping them in sync across devices.
- Nothing else. Your data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) is the service provider that hosts and processes this data on our behalf, and RevenueCat, Inc. manages subscription status on our behalf.
Game Day Squares handles no money between players. There are no wagers or payouts in the app — it only keeps track of a grid. The optional Host Pass subscription (which unlocks creating boards) is purchased through and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details.
Where it's stored & security
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage for photos), which processes it on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is controlled by security rules so that a board's data is only readable by the people invited to that board. See Firebase's privacy documentation.
Who can see what
- Boards are private and invite-only. Your display name, avatar, square claims, and chat messages are visible to the other members of boards you join — that's the point of a board. They are not visible to anyone outside it.
- We do not share your personal information with any third party other than Firebase and RevenueCat acting as our service providers, unless disclosure is required by law.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
The app is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. Boards are private and joinable only with a single-use invite from the board's admin.
Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your account directly in the app (and on the web app): go to Profile → Delete account and confirm. This immediately and permanently deletes your login, profile, avatar photo, every board you own, and the squares you claimed on other boards.
Alternatively, email painfulimage@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my Game Day Squares account", and within 30 days we will delete your account and its personal data — your login, profile, avatar photo, and the chat images you uploaded.
Chat messages and square claims that are part of boards you shared with other people may be anonymized (unlinked from your identity) rather than removed, where that's needed to keep those boards intact for their other members.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
